Boyd Bradshaw, EdD, MS
Principal
Boyd Bradshaw believes enrollment management is fundamentally about people, building relationships, listening carefully, and creating the conditions for students and institutions to succeed. As a Principal at BPS, he brings more than three decades of enrollment leadership to helping colleges and universities develop strategies that are ambitious, practical, and built to last.
Boyd began his career as an admission counselor and “road warrior” before moving through increasingly senior enrollment leadership roles at public, private, and health sciences institutions. Most recently, he served as Vice President for Enrollment Management at Towson University, where he led the development of a strategic enrollment management plan and provided executive leadership across admissions, academic advising, retention and completion, financial aid, tutoring and learning, writing support, and registrar operations. During his tenure, Towson reversed a pandemic-era enrollment decline while achieving record incoming classes and application volume alongside improvements in student retention and completion.
That breadth has shaped Boyd's approach to strategic enrollment management. He sees successful change as more than a well-designed strategy: people, processes, and culture have to move with it. Having worked across very different institutional environments, Boyd is particularly skilled at breaking down organizational silos, bringing teams together around a shared vision, and translating enrollment strategy into action that an institution can own and sustain.
Boyd is also a nationally recognized voice in strategic enrollment management. He authored the chapter “Strategy Identification and Development” in Strategic Enrollment Planning: A Dynamic Collaboration and has contributed to the profession through speaking and national leadership. He recently served on The College Board Enrollment Leaders Group, co-chaired the American Talent Initiative Advisory Council, and serves on the Board of Directors for Building Steps, an organization that works with high achieving students in low resourced Baltimore City Public High Schools in providing guidance long term support to graduate college and launch successful careers.
Boyd earned his doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Saint Louis University, an accomplishment he considers one of the milestones of his career. Just as meaningful to him is the opportunity to mentor other enrollment professionals and help them grow into leaders themselves. Throughout his career, he has found some of his greatest fulfillment in building cultures of trust and helping people see how their individual work contributes to a shared mission.
Joining BPS also brings Boyd back to the St. Louis area, closer to family and to a place that has played an important role in both his life and career. Boyd is an avid baseball fan, enjoys the outdoors, cooking and playing golf.
